THE OTHER VIEW - 09/24/2009

Today United Nations Security Council (UNSC) passed a resolution for Nuclear Non-Proliferation. And they are going to pursue INDIA to sign it.

* Nuclear non-proliferation is the best thing UNSC has done.

* Forcing India to sign it - Bad idea. WHY?

- it is like you can have a good meal, and you are asking other people not to eat that meal.
- it is like you can build a nice house, and you are asking other people not to build such house.
- it is like you can wear Armani Exchange clothes and you telling your friends not to wear Armani Exchange.

- India has a neighbor - Pakistan, whose is nuclear and whose arsenal is not at all safe, as per US analysts.

IS IT FAIR?

- How can you expect India to disarm, with threat of Pakistan
- India may have 10 nuclear devices - hypothetically. Other nations have in range of 100s. How can you expect India to get rid of 10 war heads when you have 100s.

WHAT IS FAIR?

- make Pakistan sign this treaty, remove all their arsenal and you will see India following the same, without even saying.
- reduce other nations' inventory level to 10 and then talk to India about getting rid of their 10.

Friends, all i am saying is to be FAIR and not to have double Standards / policies.
